“I have treated the problems - and personally experienced the discomfort - of sitting on conventional bicycle seats due to the pressure they exert in an uneven pattern, particularly from the ‘nose’ at the front. The ECD Seat provides a new more comfortable way to cycle, whether over a short or long distance and allows the cyclist to sit properly with their weight on the sit bones, freeing them to adopt a healthy posture.”

Zambian heroics - and all in a good cause
Three London-based lawyers took on a 500km ride across Zambia in May this year, raising some £80,000 for the African Revival charity.
To learn more about this very noble - and successful - achievement - visit their webpage. You might also like to make a donation - especially when you read what they went through!
We donated ECD Seats to the team for the ride: here's what Nigel Boardman had to say at the end of it all:
"On the trip three of us used the saddle. My nephew, James, is a fit 26 year-old, ex-army, and was called in to the challenge only a fortnight before the the start, because someone had to drop out with a broken leg. He did not have time to toughen up his bottom, and the saddle made it possible for him to complete the trip without discomfort. Glen, my partner at Slaughter and May, used a conventional saddle to begin with, but was in severe discomfort after a few days, and was only able to finish the ride by switching to the ECD Seat. I would definitely have dropped out of the 500 km trip across Zambia myself, were it not for the ECD Seat, which I found removed all the discomforts from that part of the body. It is a fantastic innovation: I would strongly recommend it to anyone." |
