A little history

Thomas White, the former head of industrial design at Boeing Commercial Airplane, bought a bicycle to help him get fit. Like most of us, he found the saddle uncomfortable. But, unlike most of us, he was able to do something about it.

With his own design company, he set about designing a new, much more comfortable seat. It took him 10 years, and several patents, before he was finally satisfied. The result is the most comfortable bicycle seat you have ever ridden on!

Thousands have already been sold in the USA, with impressive testimonials. Now they are available in the UK from ECD.

How does The Seat work?

The ECD Seat is ergonomically designed
for the person, rather than following the conventional model.

ECD Seat - Close upThe radical new design does away with the traditional nose on a bicycle seat – so your weight is taken entirely by the seat part – enabling you to sit in a more comfortable and natural position with your weight evenly distributed on your ‘sit bones’.

Don't take our word for it...

Effects of bicycle saddle designs
Riding a noseless saddle significantly reduced physical pressure to the groin that has been associated with a measure of neurological impairment in men.
